We provide for across the Channel Islands traditional stained glass restoration and creation of leaded windows and art work.
Restoration
Bringing things back to life is inspiring for us and have worked over the years on many restoration projects on both public sites and private homes.
For damaged stained glass panels if not a simple on site fix, sadly the panels may need to come out for intensive repairs. This would consist of us taking out the panel in question and for ourselves to trace the existing design and delicately take the panel(s) in questions apart, keeping any reusable pieces of glass and cutting new ones to match any broken pieces. It is then rebuilt using high grade lead/ solder and then cemented with specialist cement. Once rebuilt, it can then be refitted in it’s glory.
Creation
Along side our restoration skills we also offer creation of stained glass windows. Where from the initial design process where we will chat about your likes and dislikes and put together a few options to match your ideas and home. We then build from scratch your window right through to the fitting process. Depending on the window space in question a carpenter or other glazier may need to be involved in this process.
Oil Wash Maintenance
Noticed that your stained glass windows look a bit tired?
To help refresh you leaded panels we offer a oil wash maintenance to help rejuvenate the old cement and help polish up the old lead.
On Site Repairs
Some minor repairs can be done on site if a clear simple break. Where with a call out fee we will replace the broken piece in question with as close to a match in question. Please keep in mind this depends on the damage and broken piece shape as some are trickier than others.
Stained Glass Lightboxes / Decorations
Always loved stained glass but don’t have anywhere for a window? We also create bespoke stained glass lightboxes and custom made decorative pieces of work.
