How We Work
Just a few terms of service on how we like to work.
Design services
We offer a design and creation service from beginning to end. As you can imagine the possibilities for the end design are huge. We therefore ask our clients to do a little research on designs that they might like to see and email in any inspiration visuals, drawings and ideas along with rough sizes and if possible photos for where the work would be fitted. With this information we can then work out a non obligation quote. In person visits are available but an initial call out fee will be included in the overall pricings to help allocate time.
For reference the price for any stained glass work is decided by a few different considerations. For example:- the overall area of the window(s) and how complex and intricate the design is. Designs that are more complicated with many pieces of glass takes much longer to make than a simpler design and so this increases the cost. Once a project is ready to begin we will need to be able to work with the exact finished glass sizes (for this we can come and take down the measurements ourselves or if a carpenter or other is making a specific new frame they will need to supply us with these). Please note we can not be held responsible for any measurement mistakes given to us by a third party so where possible please let us come to take down the measurements.
We do offer traditional glazing methods and do also work along side many local glazing companies that can offer further glazing options.
When working with clients on new projects we like to draw up 3 design options before drawing the final agreed design to scale. This allows us to really narrow down the exact design you like and want to have as your forever feature in your home/ building.
Restoration Services
For restoration work please initially email us any pictures of the damaged panel(s). We require a full window picture, zoomed pictures of any broken areas (to include broken glass, lead or other). From this we will be able to assess the damage and whether an on site visit is necessary for a price estimate. Following this we will provide an estimate and a brief of how we will proceed in sourcing matching glass to any broken pieces and the removal / temporary glaze of the panels when required.
General T&C’s
We require a 50% upfront deposit due to the time behind each panel and supplies we put forward. The final balance less this deposit is then due once work completed. All payments are non refundable.
We hold the right to edit any agreed design during the making / restoration when required to do so for structural strength.
Due to the amount of work we get in, and sometimes large scale projects we do often have a waiting list which can vary. Stained Glass takes time and we therefore ask for patience during the process and understanding. We can not be held responsible for any delays this causes on site or other. On building sites we do ask that we are contacted at the beginning of any renovations and that stained glass is then the last thing to go back in to avoid any unwanted damages. In the instance that this is not the case any damages after our work completed are not liable to us and therefore will be subject to further charges if called out for repairs.
For social media we like to share and promote our work, pictures are therefore taken during the creation and restoration process along with final in situe pictures (we will ensure to not take any reg numbers or other privacy details) House names and numbers may therefore be displayed when apart of the overall design, however if this causes an issue please let us know as we will create content with this in mind or remove anything when requested to do so.
Data Protection
To perform our services we do require client contact numbers, email and address these are kept for contact purposes only and will not be used to share promotional adverts or other and will not be shared with any third parties unless pre agreed with the client such as for carpenters or other companies that we may require to work alongside.
Any questions or concerns please do feel free to pop us a call or email and we will be happy to help.
